Do candidates need an account?

No. Candidates complete the interview through a browser link that works on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. Applicants provide their contact details through a form, but there is no registration or WE account required to participate in the video job interview.

Can hiring manager edit the questions?

Yes. WhyEva generates a first draft of the interview questions based on your vacancy brief, and you can review, edit, remove, or add questions before sharing the interview link with candidates.

Is WhyEva an ATS?

No. WhyEva is a video interview screening platform that helps you create structured interviews, collect candidate responses, and review them in one place. It works alongside your existing ATS or CRM and can be integrated into your current hiring workflow.

How many questions are in the interview?

For most first-round screenings, 5–7 questions provide a good first impression. WhyEva video interviews can be as short as 2 questions, or include up to 12 questions — each allowing up to 10 minutes of response time.

Does platform detect cheating or AI-assisted answers?

WhyEva finds patterns that may indicate scripted, inconsistent, or heavily assisted responses. These signals are provided as additional context for reviewers. As well as amount of takes it takes to record response.

How does WhyEva address bias?

WhyEva is designed to support structured candidate evaluation by using the same interview flow for all applicants to a role. Hiring decisions remain with a team.

Is it compliant with GDPR and AI regulations?
